June 1, 2011 Spring Report
Carter finishes his spring season in style by sweeping the legendary Streets of Willow Prokart Challenge Tag Junior
class to earn his 1st main event win of the year. Earning his 4th consecitive PKC pole( on 4 different tracks), Carter would not start on the front row because of the combined Tag Masters class. This would add to the challenge but Carter muscled his way through the crowd to hook up with the two fastest Tag Masters guys and he was off to the races. Winning his heat races by over 8 seconds each and winning the main event by over 24 seconds on the 1.8 mile street course reaching speeds of over 85 miles an hour. "This was an awesome track and it was fun to see how fast a Tag Junior could go! Even though the track was huge you still needed to use all of your karting skills to get around the track smoothly, what a great experience." Carter has participated in 4 regional and two national races this spring and has 3 podiums and 4 heat race wins, one main win and 4 poles. With his solid performances he currently leads the points in the PKC Tag Junior class and is seventh nationally in the SKUSA ProTour Tag Junior class after a rough weekend in Tuscon Arizona. "The team has worked extremely hard during the 1st half of the season, states Carter, we have been the quickest kart in all 6 Friday practice sessions and more main event wins are deffinitely on the way." Carter's next race is at Qualcom Stadium in San Diego, California on June 15th and 16th before he leaves for Grand Junction, Colorado for races 3 and 4 of the SKUSA Pro Tour July 15th through the 17th. The Team would like to congratulate Carter on his perfect 4.0 G.P.A. for the entire 2010 and 2011 7th grade school year, awsome job Carter!
